This beautiful necklace features a rare sterling silver watch fob pendant with a rose gold cartouche on a sterling silver bead chain. It is hallmarked Birmingham 1925 with the makers mark WA for William Adams Ltd of Barr St, Birmingham. It has engraving on one side. A totally unique and stunning necklace.
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event. This particular pendant is rare as it is blank on both sides.
The fob measures 4.5cm x 3cm including the bail. The total length of the chain is 55cm.
