9ct Gold Vintage Ring
This product is sold out
Unusual 9ct gold ring hallmarked Chester 1930's with the makers mark F&G for Friedmann & Gottliffe Ltd. The ring has very pretty engraving including hearts and flowers on the side.
Chester hallmarked gold jewellery is quite rare. The UK has been home to numerous assay offices including Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Chester. In 1962, Chester closed its doors for good. Not only did this closure decrease the number of assay offices in the UK down to four, it also increased the desirability of pieces previously hallmarked in Chester.
The ring is a size k1/2 and has a 1.7cm internal diameter.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This ring has been resized at some stage in it's history.
