9ct gold signet ring with surrounding engraving and pretty shoulders. It is engraved either GG or SS. The ring is hallmarked Rodd 9ct.
George Rodd established his workshop in 1919 and began making trophies and medallions soon expanding into cutlery and jewellery. By the 1930's Rodd was the leading manufacturer of jewellery in Australia. He used the trade name Apex until the firm became a limited company in 1948 when the name changed to Rodd. Rodd's jewellery factory was in St Kilda, Melbourne.
